Highly sensitive nanosensors for the detection of trace gases in air-based gas mixtures
A breath of nanomaterial diagnostic technology.
PhD candidate Reza Behboodian from Macquarie University is set to develop new nanomaterial technologies with potential applications for breath diagnostics in conjunction with Industry partner Agscent thanks to the National Industry PhD program.
The kick-off meeting for the project brought together Reza’s university supervisor – STA Superstar of STEM and nanotechnology pioneer Professor Noushin Nasiri, and the project industry partner – founder and managing director of Agscent Dr Bronwyn Darlington. Macquarie University Strategic Programs Coordinator Jason Ford and Regional Director of the National Industry PhD Program at Campus Plus Sabine Straver joined them.
The National Industry PhD program combines the strengths of the industry and research sectors to enable industry professionals and PhD candidates to do industry-focused research and career-enhancing training as part of a PhD. It’s an outstanding opportunity for businesses and universities to strengthen collaborations and develop innovative solutions.
