Would you like some of the best and brightest research talent working with you?
Industry Linked PhD Stream
As an industry partner in the National Industry PhD Program, an exceptional PhD candidate will work on a ‘real world’ problem that you have helped co-design with their academic supervisors. They will spend between 20% and 50% of their time undertaking research relevant work within your organisation. In return, you will be able to provide them with industry focused research experience and the opportunity to translate research into real-world outcomes.
To participate in the Program, you will need to provide:
- a PhD stipend top-up of $10,000 (minimum) a year for up to 4 years
- access to suitable facilities, equipment and staff for their research project
- a co-supervisor that has extensive experience working in the research area as well as business sector knowledge
Support for talented employees
If you have a highly capable employee that you would like to support to undertake a PhD project, the Industry Researcher PhD stream does just that. You continue to employ the Industry Researcher PhD candidate, but you will receive $47,572 a year, to subsidise for time spent on their PhD project. The Industry Researcher PhD candidate will spend between 20% and 50% of their time working on the project at their university. Amounts are for 2025.
