Syngas and CO2 Conversion into Fuels, Methanol, Formic Acid, and Acetic Acid

Under the supervision of Professor Akshat Tanksale and in collaboration with Jan Haesner from BASF Australia, this project aims to develop a scalable system that transforms carbon dioxide into valuable chemicals, including acetic and formic acids. This innovative approach not only holds the promise of commercial viability but also plays a crucial role in reducing CO2 emissions and combating climate change.

From the University’s perspective, this collaboration fosters high-quality research, which will advance the state of knowledge and demonstrate the tangible societal benefits their research provides.

Student’s Perspective.
