Campus+ launches PD+

Campus+ has launched a new service that will help take care of an Institution’s Professional Development obligations for researchers and research support staff. PD+ provides a series of live, 1-hour webinars on a range of topics covering Industry Engagement and Commercialisation.

“We have developed a series of easy-to-digest, bite-sized webinars that cover the key fundamentals of each topic. By the end of each hour, participants will have the key take-aways from domain experts that will help spark curiosity and confidence that this is something they can pursue,” said Nick McNaughton, founder of Campus+, “We really hope the range of topics we cover will help to open minds to the opportunities that are out there, to engage with Industry as a way of increasing research dollars”.

Webinar topics include ‘How to develop effective and successful strategic partnerships’, ‘How to write better tenders’ and ‘How to build a successful process for spinning out University IP’. Institutions that sign up to the annual subscription have unlimited ‘seats’ at each webinar.

“We want out Professional Development offering to really help upskill and inform participants. In this climate of restricted budgets, it’s even more imperative for every dollar invested to see a return in the future. Through PD+, Institutions can invest in their staff so that they are better equipped to take full advantage of the opportunities for revenue generation engaging with Industry can bring.”

Campus+ are offering a special discount for 2020: unlimited seats at 6 webinars for only $10k (+GST). The six subjects in this series will be:

  • Basic principles of IP and Commercialisation
  • How to improve your Industry Engagement
  • How to improve your University Impact
  • How to grow your R&D funding
  • How to write better tenders
  • How to build a successful process for spinning out University IP
